Smallville and Supernatural always have a 2 month break in the middle, then atleast 1 month to 6 weeks break before the final run of episodes. It has always been like this. Nothing new. All networks take breaks, but I agree the CW breaks are way too long. However some shows are even longer. I would rather have 22 episodes in 8 months then 13 episodes back to back and then wait a whole year for a new season.
Here is a list of what is coming and going in 2011

Mad Love- This is a cute romantic comedy which has the elements of a great cast Jason Biggs and Tyler Labine are a joy to watch; who would have thought of Jason Biggs as a romantic leading man but surprisingly this seems to work. The cat and mouse game of his best friend played by Tyler Labine with Judy Greer is genius, you know this two have to end up together. CBS seemed to have no trouble recycling their talent pool from How I Met Your Mother in this case did they? Is this show a hit or miss what do you think?
