Spartacus Gods of the Arena Finale and Outlook for Season 2

From Season One of Spartacus I have been intrigued, speechless and waiting for more; the ensemble cast
is a great combination of Talent and Andy Whitfield did a superb job as Spartacus the mighty gladiator of the
house of Batiatus the tormented soul who fought passionately for the Love of his life and ultimately those who
took her from his arms and Revenge was his driving force at the bitter end of season one. Blood Shed, Lust and Betrayal mirroring the Shakespearean Era.  We got to know and care about certain characters and getting to know some of the back story in Gods of the Arena shed some light on the characters themselves from the almighty Lucretia (Lucy Lawless) we see her devotion and genuine affection for her husband Batiatus (John Hannah) however this is one woman that will do anything when scorned including poison them!  The Betrayal seen in Gods of the Area are in themselves captivating as the favored doctore played by Peter Mensah was played a fool by his best friend the Champion Gannicus and his lovely wife; soap opera twists in this love triangle was neither meant to hurt him and found themselves victims of circumstance as they
were ordered to entertain the lusts of the guests of the House and found themselves coupled and then attracted to one another and tormented by guilt. Truly must see to appreciate and all 3 actors made this a very symphatetic tradgedy and a real tear jerking conclusion.  Solonius betrayal of his long time friend to show he was not a weak man and could seize oppurtunity was a very interesting twist as well as Batiatus had trusted him completely and did not see it coming.
Gatticus being given his freedom and set free from the Brutal House an its haunting memories was rewarding, but have we seen the last of this fearless champion?
What does the future have in store in season 2?  Who Lived? Who Died?  Will the recast of Spartacus affect the show at all?
If Season 2 stays true to its predecessor then this will be Must See Yet Again and I for one will be staying tuned.
